why the hell do i like this guy so much

"What's up, little dude?"

spike is a character that's stood out to me ever since i got back into dave & bambi. specifically his characterization and background in dimensional deep end have deeply resonated with me as a past and current victim of frequent bullying. his constant struggle with his self-image, the way he constantly puts up a front in the faces of those he cares about in order to keep them from worrying about him, in order to keep his facade from slipping--it drives a deep pang into my heart how familiar it all feels.

he reminds me to keep my hope afloat, in a sense. it comforts me that my pain is felt, it comforts me that i'm not alone. it's a reminder to push through.

also, i just like him as a character! like, in general. he has this natural awkward awesomeness to him that i enjoy a lot. i love going through his posts on the forum it gives me a glimpse into how he is yk. i love 1upchumps dot net grah

shadesquest was peak by the way it was really good i feel like i could dedicate an entire other section to my thoughts on shadesquest.

of course this is all about my love for him in DDE but i love all iterations of spike. all of them . i just resonate with DDE spike a lot can you tell
